Little Help?

I need a first dance song with my new husband and my dad. As in, I need you to help me pick one. As in, please give me ideas because I have no fucking clue. Please. Seriously. I'm not kidding. Talk amongst yourselves.

  1. Yikes, I see you've gotten no help here, Linz!

Do what I do when I have no effing clue - Google. I just did a Google search for "songs for bride and father" and came up with a lot of info and ideas. In my opinion, it all depends on the type of music you like. Also, whether you want a classic, "traditional" song for that dance like Natalie Cole's version of her dad's "Unforgettable", or something like Rod Stewart's "Have I Told You Lately" (which I would be more inclined to choose).

Here are just the top two things that came up in my Google search:

Top Ten Father-Daughter Wedding Dance Songs - pretty traditional, also includes links to click on a list of country songs, and a list of the most popular song choices

WedAlert.com Father/Daughter Dance songs - more varied choices, and you can play clips of the songs

Just do the Google search for "songs for bride and father" and go down the list. Some DJ sites turn up with their list of available songs for the specific dance.

As for the first dance with your husband, I would assume a Google search for "songs for first dance bride and groom" would turn up similar results.

    Good luck!
