FYI: The J.O.B. Revisited

Since I posted about my new job a couple weeks ago, I have been pondering something. Since I now work for the State, I work in a location in which I am legally not allowed to bring my gun. So, basically I'm a sitting duck for a psycho who wants to run amuck at my place of work. I am becoming exceedingly irritated at this fact. I mean, if I worked for some jackass who just didn't want guns in his place of business, I'd still bring that shit anyway. I'd just keep it on the down low. Because, really, it's worth getting fired for--my life that is. And, in reality, my 2nd Amendment right is worth dying for, or it should be, so it is certainly worth getting fired over. It is, after all, what my forefathers fought and died for. But, in this case, I would not only be fired, I'd have broken a law, which would probably prevent me from carrying a gun ANYwhere EVER again in my future--which I hope is somewhat long, being that I'm not old and gray just yet. I just can't get this out of my mind. I love my Surefire E2D, but damn, that just isn't enough!

The Health Care Crisis Crisis

So, I saw an interesting post of facebook. So credible, I know. So, I Snopes-ed it. (Yes, I just made up a word. Yes, that's how I roll.) Apparently, it is legitimate, assuming Snopes is legitimate, but that's always up for discussion... The post is a letter to the editor or something similar that a doctor sent to a local paper in Mississippi. I can't find the original, but here is Snopes' quote:

"During my last shift in the ER, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient with a shiny new gold tooth, multiple elaborate tatoos (sic) and a new cellular telephone equipped with her favorite R&B tune for a ring tone.

Now, if that don't just about sum it up, I don't know what does. And, to those who read and agree with the response on Snopes that was apparently sent in to the paper regarding Jones' letter, I must say I beg to differ. There is an Us and a Them. The Us pay for lazy turd-cutters to sit on their growing asses. The Them take advantage of the system and are perfectly capable of getting off their lazy asses and supporting themselves. Now, I realize and agree that there is a slippery slope in determining who can and cannot get government support, but let's be real, we already do that--otherwise we would all be getting government support and none of us would be working. (Could you imagine the deficit? On second thought, could it really be much worse than it is now?) So, that argument is null and void in my book. We need more realistic and accurate ways of measuring qualifications for government assistance. Because, I for one know that my husband and I have nothing to drink in our refrigerator right now but water--and it isn't bottled but from the tap and is just in a pitcher in the frig to be cold. What I mean to say is, we can't afford groceries most weeks, so we don't even have milk right now. And, we don't qualify for food stamps. So, yes, I do get a little fucking irritated at the fat cunt in line buying $400 worth of meat when I can't even buy milk because she has food stamps and I don't, and I'll be damned if she doesn't look awfully capable of pushing that really heavy meat cart around. Can't she get a job doing that?

Where Does That Money Come From???

So, I'm sure all of you have heard about the 30,000 people showing up to 100 available Section 8 homes in East Point, GA. But, have you heard the Regular Guys talk to the applicants? Unless you live in the metro area, I'm guessing you haven't. And, you need to:

It's not enough that they are bitching that the housing authority wasn't prepared for 30,ooo people. Oh, no, they are expecting a fucking handout. As usual. The guy has no reason to be in government housing. No. Fucking. Reason. He's not handicapped. His children aren't handicapped. His wife baby-mama isn't handicapped. There is NOTHING wrong with him. Or his family. Or his ability to pay rent. He doesn't even give a sob story about being laid off (like so many of us who actually work) since, well, you have to have a job in the first place to get laid off. When they ask him where the money comes from, he acts like he doesn't know. They tell him. Then he's all like, "I figured." Well, if you figured the taxpayers were paying your lazy fucking ass' way, why didn't you get a job?! Because you're a worthless ass piece of shit, and you are what is wrong with our country! And, he's not happy or thankful about it. Because "some people might disagree with that". Yeah, some people might disagree with the fact that taxpayers pay your lazy ass fucking way. Like you. Right. Except you'd be fucking wrong. T-totally fucking wrong, asshole.

While it's all quite concerning, the point that gets me is that their "illnesses...have come about as a result of [their] oppression". Huh. That's sure funny. I didn't know sickle cell was caused by slavery!

I Was Wondering: Psychological Screening for Guns

I don't want to piss anyone off (that's a first, right?!), so hear me out before you fly off. This is an honest question, and I honestly want to hear your opinion. So, please be civil.

I have a very close family member who works for a sport shooting club. He is around guns all the time, and he was his own guns. He even recently obtained a Georgia conceal carry license. Here's the problem: I know for a fact he shot himself about 10 years ago. I don't think it was honestly a suicide attempt as much as it was a cry for attention because of some shit that was going on (I won't air his dirty laundry). However, he was nearly paralyzed and extremely lucky. I don't necessarily think he'd do it again, but I never thought he'd do it in the first place.

Here's my question: Do you think, in spite of how much we want gun rights, we need more strict psychological screening when it comes to getting your hands on guns or gun permits. I'm torn on the issue, mostly because I know the guy, but if I didn't know him and love him, would I think he should have a gun much less a conceal carry permit?

My lovely (and instigating) mother sent me another bullshit article from the Athens paper. Apparently, the NAACP is pissed because all the darkies are getting suspended more than the chalkies. I mean, really. Are you surprised? Aren't most of the men in prison black? If it's the blacks that are causing the trouble, bringing the guns, drugs, and fights to school, shouldn't they be the ones suspended? I speak from experience, having spent 10 weeks teaching 13-14 year old kids from the projects and poorer side of Pauling County. I wrote-up six kids. They all received ISS, not suspension. Of those six, only one was black. Yes, just one. And, we all know which side of racist I lean on. That should tell you something right there.

And, So It Begins

Of course, you have your people who think we are putting too much pressure on our dear Obamassiah:

I call bullshit. People do not expect too much. They expect him to do the things he said he would do. If he knew he couldn't do them, why did he say he could? Because he is a lying sack of shit. Big surprise? Not to anyone with more brain cells than pairs of shoes.

If you say you are going to do something, do it. If you can't do it, don't say you will. It's as simple as that. I'm just a little surprised it has already started--people are already beginning to realize he's going to be about as effective as a cup of jello pudding. Not his minions, mind you, but people outside the US who have an IQ above a chess game pawn piece.

I can only hope this is just the beginning of a turn around. That more and more people will see the light. I know it is wishful thinking, but maybe if more people called the spade a spade, he wouldn't be able to get away with murder for the next four years.

You've Got to be Kidding: Gov't Supported Cell Phone


"SafeLink Wireless is a government supported program that provides a free cell phone and airtime each month for income-eligible customers."
Does this not outrage anyone but me? I mean, free CELL phones for people who are already on government assistance. Don't we have more important things to spend our hard earned tax dollars on? A cell phone is not a fucking necessity. It is a LUXURY. Why am I paying for some laid-up lazy ass' luxury items? WHY? I'm already pissed that I've got to PAY in taxes this year--on top of the nearly $6,000 I've already paid to Federal alone. This is the straw that breaks this camel's back. I am irate. Spend the damned money on something we, as a people, NEED--not something Mr. or Ms. I'm-too-lazy-to-work-but-I-have-six-kids wants! Un-fucking-believable.

"Obama Would Change All That"

You absolutely can't make this shit up. From my ex-hometown newspaper, The Commerce News:

"A Nicholson woman who thinks the election of Barack Obama as president will end racism in Jackson County may need a presidential pardon.

"Commerce police arrested Gail Louise Brown, 51, of 163 Tommy Barnett Lane Dec. 9 after she allegedly cursed loudly and repeatedly as police diffused a domestic incident at BJC Medical Center.

"Barnett* was one of several family members who went to the hospital to see a male 'under protective care' at the facility. Staff called the police after family members refused to leave.

"Barnett*, according to the officer’s account, did not go quietly. She allegedly made repeated and loud obscene remarks. She also charged that 'Jackson County is redneck and racist and Obama would change all that once he’s in office,' the officer said.

"Barnett* was charged with disorderly conduct."

I'm sorry, but that is just funny. But, here we go again with the reverse discrimination. Just because Jackson County is rural and, admittedly, redneck, we are automatically racist. Perfect. Anywho, I won't get on that reverse discrimination bus anymore today. I just hope they realize Obama isn't going to save them. Oh, hell, no I don't. I don't care what they realize. They brought it on themselves. Let them suffer the consequences.

*Note: I think they confused the street name with her last name. I believe the instances where you see "Barnett" you should see "Brown".

Landmark Case of the Year: Brian Nichols

So, I know everyone is tired of hearing about Brian Nichols. I mean, what with all the tons of tax payer dollars spent on his trial. He might have single-handedly caused all of Georgia's economic troubles. I kid, I kid. But, seriously, it's been quite a landmark trial. Not only because of the time and expense it took to convict a man that was SO obviously guilty or the sentence, but the REASON he was sentenced that way.

In Georgia, there is only the possibility of death if the jury unanimously sentences the person that way. So, if only one person holds out, they live. One person. I thought this was the nation of majority rules. I guess Obama getting elected isn't really all that great because, apparently, in Georgia, the minority rules. OK, alright, at least in court cases anyway.

So, now everyone is up in arms to change this law. The way it goes now, a jury must unanimously choose death, or the judge can ONLY sentence the person to life or life without parole. In some states, the jury is mostly for assistance with sentencing, and the judge ultimately makes the decision. They want to make it similar to that here. The newest proposal would allow the judge to sentence death if at least 10 jurors vote for death. (Note that in this case, Nichols would still get life, as 3 jurors voted against death.)

Unfortunately, a similar bill has been shot down in the Georgia Senate more than once (passed in the Georgia House more than once) due to fears of making judges too powerful. But, now, some opponents are reconsidering things. There is even a proposal to allow for death even if 3 jurors vote against it.

I'm not really for or against the legislation, but I do think that when someone is a cold-blooded murderer who is blatantly and completely guilty of killing not just 1 but 4 innocent people, he deserves to die. And, while we have those pesky cruel and unusual punishment laws, he sure as hell deserves punishment as cruel as you can come up with.

And, for the people who held out, refusing to even hear the facts, especially the one who thought listening to music was more important than deliberation ("Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard said jurors had told him the three holdouts refused to deliberate and were adamantly against the death penalty. One of the three, he said, was listening to headphones during the closed-door deliberations."), I say, you're a sack of shit who doesn't deserve much more than Nichols. Sure, jury duty sucks balls. But, you are there to do a job, and if you aren't going to do it you're just a good old fashioned son-of-a-bitch. YOU single-handedly let a convicted rampage murderer who escaped from custody before go back to jail. So he can escape again. Smooth move there, Ex-lax. I sure as hell hope he comes for you and not me when he escapes.

You've Got to be Kidding: Religious Persecution

I really thought things were going to change. OK, no I didn't. Obama hasn't even taken office yet, and already I'm bitching about his failures. If he is anything short of a complete failure, color me red, I will be surprised. Very surprised.

What am I going on about? Obama was supposed to make this nation colorblind. He was supposed to erase all hate and prejudice. He was supposed to end racial, religious, and all other forms of discrimination. You see, he was elected the first black President in a nation consumed by white supremacy and religious intolerance. A nation that uplifts whites and oppresses blacks. A nation that uplifts Christians and oppresses any other religion. At least, that's what everyone wanted you to think during his campaign.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. And, honestly, I probably have. Because this shit happens every day. All the time. To all kinds of people. Reverse discrimination is still fucking discrimination. And, I get really damn sick and tired of the absolute bullshit. Really. Sick. And. Tired.

Here's the story that got me so riled up this morning: A Muslim woman was arrested and held for contempt of court for refusing to remove her head covering, which was a violation of court policy. And, you know, the woman (who was from Connecticut but recently moved to Georgia) had the audacity to say that the incident reminded her of the civil rights-era South. Says the imbecile, "'I just felt stripped of my civil, my human rights.'"

Good for you. Way to make this a civil rights issue. It's a fucking court policy. She wasn't even there for her own court appearance (she was accompanying her nephew for his traffic violation hearing), so she could have easily left. But, instead, she had to be a shit-starting bitch and make a huge deal out of nothing.

Now, in case you think I'm just a racist bigot, let me explain to you why this pisses me the fuck off. Even though you're going to think I'm a racist bigot regardless, if you already do, because, well, if I have to explain it to you, you just don't get the whole post anyway, and, frankly, you are not worth my time. Not by a long shot. The issue I take with this is that, EVEN THOUGH "there have been similar cases in other states, including Michigan, where a Muslim woman in Detroit filed a federal lawsuit in February 2007 after a judge dismissed her small-claims court case when she refused to remove a head and face veil", this had to be about some civil-rights bullshit. Because every single person in the South is racist and discriminatory. She just had to go and play the race/religion/whatever discrimination card.

I realize she is dumber than a box of rocks, but does she REALLY think this was about her religion? Because it wasn't. It was about a court policy. A policy that is in place to protect people from another Brian Nichols-type situation. (Yes, I realize he didn't bring his own gun. But, he did shoot up the courthouse. That's my point here.) And, by making it into a religious issue, due to the fact that we are the "discriminatory South" and everyone here is discriminatory, she is guilty of reverse discrimination. Hell, if the stupid bitch hadn't insulted an officer, she probably wouldn't have even been arrested for the violation--just asked to leave:
"Hall [Valentine's husband] said Valentine, an insurance underwriter, told the bailiff that she had been in courtrooms before with the scarf on and that removing it would be a religious violation. When she turned to leave and uttered an expletive, Hall said a bailiff handcuffed her and took her before the judge."
Honey, really, it doesn't matter if you've worn it in other courtrooms. It is a court's right to make those kinds of policies:

"Kelley Jackson, a spokeswoman for Georgia Attorney General Thurbert Baker, said state law doesn't permit or prohibit head scarfs.

"'It's at the discretion of the judge and the sheriffs and is up to the security officers in the court house to enforce their decision,' she said."

So, go ahead, call me a racist bigot. She played the religious persecution card when the only thing persecuted was the poor bailiff.

"Do You Own a Gun?"

So, I go to do my civic duty (i.e., vote, for you lump lumps), and I'm feeling a moment of decency and human compassion (I know, right, that never happens!) for the poor girl standing outside in the cold doing exit polls. Personally, I hate doing that shit (as in, any poll in general), but for some reason, call it "I didn't want to be called racist and unAmerican and unpatriotic for not doing an exit survey" "Christmas cheer", I said I'd do one. Of course it is filled with questions like "Who did you vote for?" "Who did you vote for originally in this election?" (it is runoff, obviously) "Who did you vote for for President?" Etc, etc. There was one question that so totally did NOT fit in there it was ridiculous. It read "Do you or anyone in your household (I typed that "holdhouse" the first time. Damn dyslexia. LOL. Thought I'd share that with you...) own a gun?" And, that was it. There was not a single question about the 2nd amendment. Just "Do you own a gun?" Because if you do, you are racist! No, really, what the hell? I might live with someone with who owns a gun and not give two shits about the 2nd amendment. I don't get that at all. I would be a lot more irritated, but the Sugarland song I like came on, so I'm happy now. Ah, the simple mind is easily amused...

And, might I recommend, vote for Saxby Chambliss if you want to be free for any length of time following January 20th. I mean, do you really want Democrats to have COMPLETE control?

"White Guilt"

Someone sent me this Guest Article by Tom Adkins on CommonConservative.com. I don't necessarily agree with everything the guy says, but the article made me think. I know it is long, but read it.

Someone sent me an email with sings from a restaurant/bar called Casa D'Ice. Apparently, the guy changes them pretty frequently. You can see over 100 of his signs at his website. I personally don't agree with a lot of them, and some of them I have no idea who he is talking about. He also has some bouts of terrible spelling or grammar, but I like several of them. I do, indeed, live in Cobb County, GA. I read about this a while back, so the delay getting to Weird News is a little long (I've noticed this in the past), but since it came up again, I thought it deserved a post. Only in Cobb County. Voodoo. Ha.

I'm a Georgia Voter

I don't think I need to remind you that there is a runoff election in Georgia between Saxby Chambliss and Jim Martin on December 2nd. I say that, but the fact is, you probably need to be beat over the head with it. What loses runoff elections? Shitty politicians? Maybe. But, mostly, it is low voter turn out. Please, take a little time out of your day to go and vote. It may be the tipping point that gives us an untouchable, Democratic Senate. I can tell you who I will vote for and why, but I firmly believe you should vote for whomever you want because that is your right--no matter how ignorant and misinformed you may be.

I've already told you how much I hate Jim Martin, so it is obvious I am voting for Saxby Chambliss. And, I am a big fan of the Fair Tax. I think it makes EVERYONE pay taxes, and you can control how much tax you pay based on what you buy. Don't want to pay a lot of taxes? Don't buy that Louis Vuitton bag. Simple enough. And, it prevents illegals from cheating the system, which I'm a huge fan of.

If you want more information about the Fair Tax, and you live anywhere near Gwinnett County, there is a rally at the Gwinett Center on November 16th. That's this Sunday. Think about it.

A Break for Bush

So, while I think George W. (Dubbya) Bush is a total flaming retard, I have to give the guy some credit. He did run the nation. Into the ground? Maybe. Probably. But, he did do it. I think he completely fucked us for a while, but I can say without a doubt that I wouldn't want his job. He can have it. I can respect the fact that he was enough of an arrogant, sick, son-of-a-bitch that he wanted to be President. But, we all have to admit, he had a hard, shitty job. In this article on Yahoo, he says he will return to Texas after January 20th, and he may write a book (Gasp! He can write?!):
"'I want people to know what it was like to make some of the decisions I had to make,' he said. 'I've had one of those presidencies where I've had to make some tough calls, and I want people to know the truth about what it was like sitting in the Oval Office.'"
Well, la-te-frickin'-da. I mean...Good for him!

But, seriously, aren't all Presidencies the kind where you have to make some tough calls? I'm just sayin'.
